Copa Italy Result: Inter Eliminate Parma via Extra Time

Inter Milan steps in the 2022/2023 Coppa Italia have continued. The Nerazzurri ensured their place in the quarter-finals after their dramatic win over Parma.

Inter beat Parma 2-1 in the last 16 at the Giuseppe Meazza. Parma first opened the scoring through Stanko Juric in the 38th minute.

Inter could only reply in the 88th minute through Lautaro Martinez shot, which turned because it touched an opposing player. The game went into extra innings.

Inter finally turned ahead in the 110th minute. Fransesco Acerbi long-range header successfully rattled the net, guarded by Gianluigi Buffon. The 2-1 score for Inter's advantage lasted until the fight ended.

The next opponent that Inter will face is Atalanta or Spezia. This match will only be held on January 19, 2023.

Inter took control of the match in the first 15 minutes. The initiative is good, but not in terms of attack execution. Parma usual defense failed to break through the Nerazzuri.

The first opportunity was even just created in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, Roberto Gagliardini failed to direct the ball into the net after receiving a tug of bait from Robin Gosens.

Inter even almost turned ahead in the 90th minute. Edin Dzeko close-range shot was too precise toward Buffon position.

Parma first had a golden opportunity when entering extra time. The opportunity was created in the 104th minute.

Antoine Hainaut was immediately pushed into the Inter penalty box when the home players made mistakes. Unfortunately, his shot went wide a few centimeters from the right side of Inter goal.

Inter was finally able to turn things around and win the match in the 110th minute. In a situation where it looked like there was no goal, Francesco Acerbi made an unexpected move.

The Inter center-back scored a powerful header from outside the box. Buffon, who was not in the correct position, failed to block the title, and the ball rolled into the Parma goal.
