FA Cup Result: Manchester City vs Chelsea 4-0

Manchester City successfully silenced Chelsea with a landslide score of 4-0 in the third round of the 2022/2023 FA Cup, which was held at the Etihad Stadium.

Riyad Mahrez was the star of Manchester City victory by buying up two goals. Meanwhile, the other two goals were scored by Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden, respectively.

This result gives Manchester City the right to qualify for the fourth round or the last 32. The City will face the winner of the Oxford United vs Arsenal match.

Appearing without Erling Haaland, Manchester City immediately tried to play aggressively from the start of the match. Unfortunately, several opportunities have yet to be maximized by the host.

The City only managed to open the scoring in the 23rd minute through Mahrez action. The winger's beautiful free kick from Algeria aimed at the top corner of the Chelsea goal without being able to anticipate Kepa Arrizabalaga.
