FA Cup Result: Manchester City vs Arsenal 1-0

Manchester City successfully defeated Arsenal with a score of 1-0 in the 2022/2023 FA Cup fourth-round match which was held at the Etihad Stadium.

Nathan Ake only goal in the middle of the second half was enough to bring Manchester City to silence Arsenal. Thanks to this result, Manchester City has the right to qualify for the fifth round which will be held in March 2023.

First Round

The game was pretty even at the start of the first half. Arsenal often threaten City defense through the actions of their new star, Leandro Trossard from the left.

Meanwhile, Manchester City had several chances including through Erling Haaland's acrobatic shot. Unfortunately, there are still no goals that are created.

A series of opportunities was obtained by both teams. However, no goals were born throughout the first half. The 0-0 draw was a temporary result at halftime.

Second Round

Returning from the locker room, Mikel Arteta made two substitutions at once. William Salya and Albert Sambi Lokonga replaced Rob Holding and Thomas Partey.

Manchester City finally succeeded in breaking the deadlock in the 64th minute. Receiving the ball from Jack Grealish, Ake fired his first shot at the far post which Matt Turner failed to reach.

Arteta responded to this situation by including Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard. Arsenal is increasingly aggressively terrorizing the City defense.

Unfortunately, Arsenal's efforts to catch up did not produce results until the long whistle sounded. The 1-0 score for Manchester City victory was the final result of this match.
