FA Cup Result: Manchester United vs Everton 3-1

Manchester United overcame Everton resistance in the third round of the 2022/2023 FA Cup. Manchester United won 3-1 over Everton at Old Trafford.

Antony scored a quick goal to open Manchester United first goal after just four minutes. Everton immediately replied in the 14th minute thanks to a plan from Conor Coady because of David de Gea misjudgment.

Manchester United finally got back ahead in the 52nd minute through Coady own goal after failing to anticipate Marcus Rashford's cross.

Everton had equalized again in the 74th minute through Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goal, but the goal was disallowed by VAR for offside.

Manchester United closed the victory party in the 90 + 7th minute. Rashford successfully scored from the spot after Ben Godfrey brought down Alejandro Garnacho in the penalty box.

In general, Manchester United dominated the game. Anthony Martial, Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Antony successfully penetrated the Toffees defense.

Even in terms of possession, Man United won quite a lot with 58 percent possession. Bait accuracy reaches 88 percent. Even so, Man United had difficulty breaking through Everton's low-block defense. 

Of the total 15 kicks that were released, six of them could be shot from inside the penalty box. Interestingly, two of the six goals were created in the penalty box.
