Fulham vs Chelsea: Joao Felix Red Card, The Blues Lose 2-1

Chelsea has lost again in the postponed match of Week 7 of the Premier League 2022/2023. This time, Chelsea fell 1-2 to Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Two goals for Fulham were scored by Willian (25') and Vinicius (73'). Chelsea can only score through Kalidou Koulibaly (47')

Apart from losing, Chelsea also came home on another negative note. Their debut player, Joao Felix, got a direct red card in the 58th minute.

This victory makes Fulham close to the top five. The Cottagers are currently in sixth position with a collection of 31 points or two points behind Tottenham.

Chelsea is increasingly miserable with the defeat. The Blues are stuck in 10th place with 25 points.

First Round

Joao Felix made an immediate impact on his Chelsea debut. Only in the 3rd minute did he become the creator of Lewis Hall opportunities. However, his kick was anticipated by Bernd Leno.

Felix became a prominent player in the first 15 minutes. He became the central axis of Chelsea attack.

Fulham occasionally also comes out to attack. Vinicius, Bobby Reid and Andreas Pereira took turns threatening the Chelsea goal.

However, Willian managed to open the hosts' lead in the 25th minute. His kick hit one of the Chelsea players who outwitted goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

After this goal, Chelsea had several more dangerous opportunities. Goalkeeper Leno impressive actions forced the Blues to bite their fingers repeatedly.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper saved Fulham goal twice from Joao Felix shot (28', 40'). Leno also made a crucial save against Hall's kick in the 34th minute.

Second Round

Chelsea immediately stepped on the gas as soon as the second half began. Starting from Hall's move, the final score is the same.

Through a free-kick scheme, after Hall was violated, Kalidou Koulibaly successfully scored the ball against Fulham in the 47th minute.

To catch up, Chelsea had to lose one player. That player is Joao Felix! Debutant player who appeared impressive from the start of the game.

Felix got a direct red card in the 58th minute. The loan player from Atletico Madrid made a two-footed tackle that forced the main referee David Coote to send him out of the match.

On the other hand, Leno impressive actions do not stop. He made a save in the 64th minute from an effort by Kai Havertz.

Fulham success in surviving the onslaught of Chelsea and the advantage of one player finally made The Cottagers excel again. Pereira cross was met with Vinicius' powerful header in the 73rd minute.

Graham Potter responded by making four substitutions 10 minutes from time. However, no change occurred. Chelsea lost again.
